Personal Stories
Much stigma, fear and misunderstanding continues to be associated with aging in general and a diagnosis of dementia more specifically. Yet, persons living with dementia have begun to challenge these stereotypes by speaking out and sharing their stories so that we might better understand the dementia journey from their perspectives.
We are pleased to share with you some of these stories written by persons living with Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias – stories of their journey, stories that provide a broader perspective on the realities of their lives, and stories about how they continue to live meaningful lives.
